Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN)
Application Overview:
Wireless LAN (WLAN) connectivity is built into a wide range of products, from home routers and gateways to enterprise access points and connected devices. WLAN antenna design plays an important role in achieving faster data rates, broader coverage, and reliable connections across increasingly dense and complex RF environments.
Connectivity & Design Challenges:
Wi-Fi 7 and Wi-Fi 8 platforms often combine multi-band operation, multiple antennas, and higher-order MIMO within limited enclosure space. For routers and access points, antenna placement and MIMO isolation need to be addressed early to minimize coupling and maintain throughput, coverage, and stable coexistence.
PCB layout, shielding, mechanical structures, cable routing, and thermal components can also change antenna behavior after integration. Treating the antenna architecture as part of the overall product design helps reduce late-stage tuning and redesign.LYNwave Antenna Design & Integration:
LYNwave supports custom Wireless LAN antenna development, including embedded and external antenna solutions for consumer and enterprise applications. Our engineering team works through antenna feasibility, simulation, placement, tuning, validation, and mechanical integration to help customers balance RF performance with enclosure and manufacturing constraints from early development through volume production.
Key Applications:
Home and enterprise routers, Wireless access points, Broadband gateways, Connected consumer devices.
