This embedded antenna, OLX18P-057070-00, is a patch/panel antenna with higher peak gain of 6.65dBi (V-Port) and 7.45dBi (H-Port) at 2.4GHz band, including Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The polarization is designed to be linearly polarized, both vertically and horizontally, to enable a stable and efficient system signal strength performance. With dual polarization, the antenna can respond to both horizontally and vertically polarized radio waves simultaneously. The degrees of freedom of a dual-polarized antenna can achieve twice the performance compared to a conventional single-polarized antenna for identical size of the transmit-array.

Because of this patch antenna’s higher peak gain, it increases the effective transmission power in certain directions, making the antenna more directional at the transmitter—a good effect for reducing unwanted RF radiation in unrequired directions.
