This dual-band embedded antenna, ALX18P-221AA4-00, is a dipole antenna with high efficiency and quick integration for 2.4/5GHz dual band, including Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Designed in a PCB, it has a high peak gain of 7.7dBi at 2.4GHz and 8.0dBi at 5GHz with easy installation through a MMCX R/A plug connector and 65mm RF-1.37 cable connection.
A greater range of devices are supported with a dual-band router because it has both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks available to connect to. You can separate your network traffic somewhat between devices using each frequency.
