The PIFA antenna, ALX18M-222AA1, is a 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual band 2.4/5ghz PIFA metal antenna with high efficiency and quick integration, covering dualband 2400-2500 MHz and 5150-5825 MHz frequency band, including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, WLAN, ISM, ZigBee, allowing for more devices and less interference. It has a peak gain of 3.0dBi at 2.4GHz and 4.9dBi at 5GHz, and is also easy for mounting into applications like routers and USB Wi-Fi adapters.

 

In practice, the peak gain of an antenna tested in free space can degrade by at least 1dBi when installed. By choosing an antenna like ALX18M-222AA1 with higher peak gain, better performance can be offered since it compensates for this effect.
