Internal FPCB 13.56 MHz NFC Antenna w IPEX MHF I, RF-1.13
The LYNwave ALS160-086001-02 antenna is an internal FPCB 13.56 MHz NFC antenna, designed in a flexible PCB with an IPEX MHF I connector (compatible) and a RF-1.13 coaxial cable connected to the antenna element to be easy for integration into customers’ devices. At only 0.2mm thickness, it eases the design effort and reduces the PCB footprint of the system, thus allowing NFC to be placed in a small size device.
NFC (Near Field Communication) is an evolution of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology, allowing two devices equipped with NFC technology to be able to communicate with each other and share information as soon as they are close to one another. Both RFID and NFC operate on the principle of inductive coupling, at least for short-range implementations. As for the difference, RFID is often used over longer distances, while NFC only has a maximum range of a few centimeters at most.
The NFC antenna provides active transmission and boosts response signal to the NFC reader/initiator/tag while improving receiving sensitivity. It offers a low-speed connection with simple setup that can be used to bootstrap more-capable wireless connections. Since 13.56MHz NFC antennas would be affected by the inductance value of the PCBA, LYNwave can provide the tuning service and help check the matching and impedance. Designs of LYNwave’s antennas can be modified to provide a customized solution, in order to give you the best performance. We can make sure any of our antennas will be meeting your requirements for the module.
Since LYNwave has strong R&D antenna hardware development capabilities and is specialized in using advanced computer simulation to create customized antennas, we will support you the optimal antenna with our skills and technologies. Contact LYNwave for more information or help on antennas’ designs.
