ALA130-092030 is designed for Wi-Fi single band IEEE 802.11 applications, being the ideal antenna solution for squeezing into narrow spaces and still maintaining high performance, like getting integrated into small AP routers/access point. This metal-mounted embedded antenna is a planar inverted-F antenna with small form factor, high efficiency and quick integration for 5GHz frequency band. It offers stable peak gain of 3.0dBi at 5GHz with the efficiency on average 60%+ (cable loss excluded).
Since the peak gain of an antenna tested in free space can degrade by at least 1dBi when installed, selecting an antenna with higher peak gain will compensate for this effect, giving you better performance.
