This antenna, ALA120-052020, is designed for Wi-Fi single band IEEE 802.11 applications, being the ideal antenna solution for squeezing into narrow spaces and still maintaining high performance. This stamped metal dip embedded antenna is a PIFA type antenna with small form factor, high efficiency and quick integration for 2.4GHz frequency band, including Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. It offers stable peak gain of 2.0dBi at 2.4GHz and is ideal for high-volume and low-cost assembly applications, such as IP cams, routers and access points.

Bluetooth is designed to use lower power transmission for communication over shorter distances between devices that are in close proximity, while Wi-Fi has the design goal of having to possibly reach further away to maintain connection to its access points.
