The healthcare IoT, also called Internet of Medical Things (IoMT), is an integration of devices and software systems using networking technologies in the medical and health care industry. It has many applications in health care aspect, not only in the clinic or hospital, but also in the home, community and even on the body, including: fitness tracking wearables, medical monitors, smart sensors, implants and other hospital devices.
With the ability to collect, analyze and transmit health data, IoMT applications are rapidly changing healthcare delivery. The appliances for IoMT are increasing impactfully as technologies are kept evolving.
