Wi-Fi performance can be affected by several factors such as the construction of the building, the number of the rooms and client devices, as well as the components of the DUT (device under test) itself (e.g., AP router). Although we cannot simulate construction mediums (e.g., concrete), client congestion, multiple clients and access points, and other forms of interferences in an anechoic chamber, we can have them all in a test house.
Unlike the anechoic chambers, which eliminates all forms of interferences, a test house can accommodate a wide variety of interferences which are similar to ones in a real environment. LYNwave not only can provide a series of professional tests in anechoic chambers, but can also arrange controlled Wi-Fi test house service to simulate the performance in a real-home environment for you before MP stage. Coverage and Throughput Testing
There are several marked test points to run the test. Coverage and throughput testing can tell us how a DUT (e.g., router) performs in terms of coverage and throughput in/around a test house where walls, wiring, furniture and other things can affect the overall user experience for various locations in the house. In addition, throughput testing can also show the ability of the AP to serve multiple clients at various locations.
Band Channel Selection Testing
With band channel selection testing, it helps us illustrate the ability of the AP to move between both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, and can further explain how different clients behave with the AP.
Extender and Rotation Testing
Extender and Rotation testing can tell us how a DUT performs at different angles and positions. We use rotation testing to force distance, angles of reflection, and a multipath of signals, allowing us to have high-value resulting data.
